Burt - Re:" Has INTC gotten ahead of itself..." No. As one who has studied physics, it is impossible to be ahead of oneself. Sorry for the flip answer, but I severely dislike this use of Wall Street jargon. Intel's stock price simply reflects that the last guy who bought it (at $92) thinks it will go higher in the future. Tomorrow we will see if that guy is the latest sucker or a wise investor. As for no comments re: the stock run up - 1. Maybe we will JINX things if we talk about it. 2. Maybe we are so smart that it was completely expected and is not a surprise. 3. Maybe we deserve the run up and are entitled to MORE! Re: :" My son bought a spiffy Dell PC three years ago for his freshman year at college and literally had to get a new one for his senior year..." Geez - I'm not that old, but when I was a freshman I bought a NEW slide rule. I used it through undergraduate and graduate school (the same one!). Are today's college grads smarter than we were or are they learning things that we didn't learn? Perhaps computer science/software type students need these PCs. I certainly recall HOURS wasted hanging around the ONE MAINFRAME waiting for my printout (so I could correct my program again!). Re: The justice department - I wouldn't worry. I'll bet they spend the next 4 years investigating themselves and/or Bill & Hillary. Perhaps we can build an iron gate/fence all around the BeltWay and lock everyone up for a few years - they have all worked hard to deserve this. Congratulations on your investment profits. Don't forget to order your son ANOTHER new computer for the holidays. Maybe he can use a portable! Paul
