Unusually positive views from these guys re MSFT:

zdnet.com

This preoccupation with Microsoft stock is disconcerting. I can't see why anyone would abandon the stock of a monopoly. Seems like the best investment you can have. Now that it has been officially confirmed that the company is a monopoly, more people will be encouraged to buy the stock..........

.........Many inside the company believe that Microsoft would like to separate MSN.com and other Internet properties into a separate company. Why? To put another Internet play on the market but also to be shielded when the Net stock bubble bursts. Of course, if the boom continues. Microsoft will benefit from both minority ownership of the new entity as well as from the promotional advantages it will have in the online entity. It's a great idea.
