Running on sand is supposed to be very good for your feet, isn't it? It kills mine.

The last time I swam in the ocean was from my beach in Martha's Vineyard. The friend I was swimming with got caught in a riptide. Those were the 15 scariest minutes in my life.....up to September 11th, that is.

Do you worry about riptides on the west coast?
