Your logic seems sound to me but I've been planning to get out of options for a while
now because it's too stressful and I don't like seeing that time premium slip away (tick
tock TICK TOCK!)

Pheonix,

I can relate to this comment very well. Eighty percent of all options purchased expire worthless. Your observation proves that. It is the tick tock affect:-)

Therefore I've
decided to do some short term and day trades while still maintaining some core, long
term holdings. Also because I live overseas my options account is limited and I believe I
must own the stock before I can write calls.

The living in such a different time zone makes trading much more difficult. Your limitation on writing calls without owning the stock is typical. Most brokerage houses discourage such practices under the guise of too "risky". The fact is; they prefer to keep that position for themselves. They keep the premiums on 80% off all positions. Not bad even if a few hurt them badly.

I hope I'm making sense.......... it's 4am here in Japan so I must say "Oyasumi Nasai"

You make perfect sense. Good night to you too<G>

so THANKS for all your informative posts and news
articles.

And I return the compliment. Take care.

Glenn
