I remember that whenever Intel had a bad quarter (back in the 90's) Engel said on SI's Intel board he'd go into his yard and chop wood.

For some reason, I still sometimes think of that when my investments hit a rough patch.

I think that he did a stint in Penang Malaysia for Intel. There was a big fire there in the 1970's, but it was rebuilt in 1976, I think.
