Poll: Palin's popularity rises
Published: Dec. 7, 2009 at 6:50 PM

(UPI) -- Sarah Palin's favorable ratings have risen 5 percentage points to 46 percent since resigning as Alaska's governor this summer, poll results indicated Monday.

Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, remains a polarizing political figure, with 46 percent of respondents also saying they viewed her unfavorably, the CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll showed. Eight percent of those surveyed did not offer an opinion on Palin, currently on a book tour touting her memoir "Going Rogue: An American Life."

Eight in 10 Republicans view Palin favorably, CNN reports, while more than seven in 10 Democrats views her unfavorably.

Men are more likely to view Palin favorably than women, results indicated.

The CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll interviewed 1,041 adult Americans Dec. 2-3. The margin of error is 3 percentage points.
