Richard Tuck. Re: "Coke is in a virtual duopoly with Pepsi with basically fixed market shares. Intel will probably never have that luxury long-term."

Your statement reflects the conventional wisdom. The list of Intelwannabes is a MILE long, and they've all been killed off or just about. AMD and Cyrix are not serious competitors AT THE HIGH END, which is where the profits are.

So here's a brand with a 85%-90% share, ranking in the top 10 GLOBALLY in brand recognition and respect, with a 60% margin TODAY, and you and many others say they won't have that "luxury" long-term. IMHO, they have EARNED that position by being better than anyone else and with the patents they have they have earned their monopoly.

So just relax and enjoy the ride.
