Bush waited 4 days to bring in Federal help. There is no way in the world you can debate or explain away this fact. FEMA and others had been telling Bushies and every other president for decades that a Category 3-5 would flood New Orleans. Bush-DElay also slashed levee funding 85% despite this. Two days before the hurricane hit, it was called a Category 5 approaching the Gulf States and probably Louisiana, and maybe New Orleans. On TV we heard them say that if so, New Orleans would be destroyed. What did Bush do? A 1 minute quickie statement telling people they should evacuate, but he knew damn well that at least 300,000 people were unable to evacuate, including sick old people. Did he do anything? Nope. Not until after the TV networks showed the devastating and Karl Rove decided it was damage control time. Dirty secret: the help we really needed was in Iraq sitting in garrisons hiding from the thousands of new suicide bombers Bush has created by mis-planning the Iraq War. Does he care? Nope. Bin Lauden won. So did Saddam. Saddam would almost be a relief to get back now. That's thanks to Bush-Cheney and crew. Impeachment time. Never has a president deserved it more. Never will one deserve it more. We owe it to our country's future to impeach Bush and CHeney both. And put DElay in prison. He is the biggest political crook ever in congress.
