Michael, you have mentioned NVLS several times. I was wondering how long you have been following them. They seem to have a better business model than other semi equipment companies and have a high EPS relative to sales than others.
I recently spoke at length with a maintenance engineer at the Matshusita DRAM plant here in Washington state. He told me that the NVLS machines are less expensive and more space efficient that the competition, and need less repair and maintenance. He said they have bought several machines for their current plant and will be buying more for the new 8 meg plant breaking ground next month.
It seems that NVLS should be a big winner in the future with good management and superior products. However, over the past year, the stock price has been very volatile. I am not sure the reason for the volatility- is it because of the low amount of shares outstanding and the option traders jerking the price around?
I realize the sector is in the dumps because of the pessimism. My question to you is how would you play NVLS in the next year? The stock price seems to be bottoming out lately and closed at 39+ today. Thanks.
