I think it's just a recurring cycle. As with Vietnam, after Iraq they'll be a period when we don't launch any dumbass wars, but, then some manipulating pol will whip up the newer voters with fear and demonizing again, and off we'll go..

Don't forget, the neocons are already working on the "we lost because the left forced us to" myth with which to revise history.
