You can forget about Sun being interested in Corel which is JMHO.

Lotus To Debut Component-Based Java Applets

Lotus already has drummed up industry support for Kona. Sun Microsystems will bundle Kona on its JavaStation network computers and Oracle's NCI subsidiary announced in September that it would include Kona on its NCs.

A few month ago I was hoping this announcement would have been about Corel instead of Lotus.
Since I can't believe Cowpland anymore I would assume his statements about COJ was full of malarkey. Time will tell how good Kona is.

I think good old Corel is caught between a rock and a hard place.
Corel isn't gaining any market share in the bloatware department and if Kona is a good product then you can forget about COJ since it's not out yet. Also IBM just happens to be American - remember the VHS Beta debate.

I still believe the thin clients is the answer for office applications and it appears Corel isn't ready for the big shift.
Time to check out IBM.
