I had already set png files to open in other programs, including Netscape. All of them work. IE works fine for other image files, so it seems to be a unique problem for png.

I would prefer to have images open in IE because it is simple to copy them and paste them elsewhere if I want to. Netscape does not seem to have image copy. It only lets you save images to a local file. I could have them open in other image viewing programs, but I prefer not to have those programs open every time I want to view a file image.
