MSFT earnings were strong and the lull now with Reno/Netscape before the next NT version release is all there is of a put or shorting opportunity independent of the market averages. They actually accounted money out of profits into reserves so they wouldn't look so good..

On other fronts its difficult to appreciate the financial misery in Indonesia where the currency has lost 84% of its value. Think about that for a moment... your're left with 16% of what you had last year, facing growing unemployment, a continuing deaf ear at the top = a street dance named revolution.

FIBR is continuing to do very well... bought early Jan.

I think we'll continue to sell down the averages into the end of the month... the semi's got so OVERSOLD that they are out of sync with the market. AMR reported slightly under.. while DAL came in ahead. Expect spring competition to become a fare war heyday with lower oil prices and Pac Rim slowdown supporting the fray.

P.S. Stupidest use of English I heard yesterday was Daniel Shore on NPR commentary saying the Washington scene is like the El Nino! Talk about a loose fitting metaphor, what rain, snow, wind, calm equatorial, no hurricanes on the East Coast, poor anchovie harvest?
