Yes J, it would be nice to have a standard.

I think we would agree that US has more cable/copper/TVs/PCs per capita than any other country in the world. This makes US a huge market in the early years for both DSL & Cable technologies.

What US also has over the rest of the world is the competition from cable companies. This, again in my opinion, would lead to faster deployment in US. (at least I hope so).
