Jack: You're right. Keeping quiet is good business. MBA schools across America routinely present the case of Ross Perot when he started EDS. He quickly realized he had a lock on the market at a time when there was no competition. He kept quiet until he landed the really big accounts, and by then the competition was so far behind, he didn't have to worry about competitors. The difference, however, is that factories will start shutting down on a fixed date. What if ARAMCO shuts down? Where do we get the oil? Is it 1978 all over again? (And BTW, TPRO did say that Saudi Arabia had phoned them.) As Cheryl often points out, there's a social dimension here that could get very serious.
