<OT - Well Sarmad, I completed most of my Christmas shoppin' over the last 2 days, and it appeared to me that there weren't all that many shoppers out there. >

I 100% disagree based on my observations. From my post to another thread:
------------------
Retail Observations:
-----------------------------
LOW and HD. The "normal" stacks of small relatively inexpensive power tools and accessories was looking very thin. In many cases almost gone. The "extra" selling spaces (Parallel between check out and aisles) were amazingly clear of product displays. Many different displays had been aggregated into one, with a mixture of remaining products. Otherwise shelves and aisles looked to be drawn down in gift type products.

Target. All checkout lines open. 10ish customer deep when I went in. 10ish deep when I left 45 minutes later.

WMT. Viewed the lot as I drove by. Parking on grass medians.

BBY. Everything was in shambles. As if clerks/stockers couldn't even come close to keeping up.

Restaurants. Full. Tired shoppers must eat I guess.

KSS. Having their BIGGEST BEST EVER 50% OFF sale! Or best one since last Tuesday anyway. Everything on sale, but everything is always on sale at KSS. I have no idea how they get around deceptive pricing laws btw. Must be nobody is looking. Sales seemed brisk. Maybe discounted to zero profit though? Just the same, turn that inventory, it costs money to hold, and goes out of style/season quick.

DELL kiosk at Mall. Couldn't get near it..........

Mall. Full and crazed.
