The nuke attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a deliberate attack on the city centers of both and as thus were aimed at one main target only, the population.

Now anybody can start lining up a couple of reasons for that because that's easy. But none of them put your Dem presidents in any better light than your "blood thirsty" GOB presidents today or in the past.
