Prejudice is not like meeting someone at a party and being indifferent to somewhat negative about that person.


If your somewhat negative about them, because they are a member of a group your prejudiced against, that is precisely what mild prejudice is. Defining prejudice to only very strong feelings, doesn't follow the standard definition, and would also require a new term for more mild feelings.

Mild prejudice may be hard to detect, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
