ALL..... The October issue of Smart Money has an article by the irrepressible James Cramer discussing the manufacturing skills of Intel...they can make chips better,quicker ,and cheaper than others. The Intel fabs are designed to be exactly identical to each other in layout so that no familiarization time is needed as employees go from one plant to another. This eliminates downtime, and allows smooth product transition. He also states that spending on tech products no longer falls when business conditions falter, because companies know that they need these products to maintain an edge. This bears out my believe expressed here before that Intel is not a real cyclical business.
