These posts below should help out with deciphering the relationships....they will also demonstrate some of the potential that isn't yet established by the companies:

But first, here is the quickest summary of known relationships:
EDIG/Lanier - hand held digital recorders for the dictation market such as medical dictation, etc.; top of the line in flexibility & market acceptance - known figure of deal is $4-8 million

EDIG/Intel - 100 prototype devices sent to Intel; the relationship is mentioned in EDIG SEC docs but is "blacked" out for confidentiality; Intel really wants to enter the networked appliance and wireless home network market....huge potential if Intel likes EDIG's Micro OS more than it's use in digital recorders

EDIG/IBM - only known relationship is EDIG as a member of IBM's VoiceTIMES consortium software.ibm.com
One (I have) can also speculate that IBM could find a place for EDIG in it's own on-line music distribution format. IBM refers to it as The Madison Project & involves Sony/IBM/Real Networks. One can also speculate that EDIG may be using IBM's 340mb Micro Drive in one of its products.

EDIG/Lucent - the one you hear about most. This is b/c Lucent has already chosen EDIG to develop the portable player for Lucent's own secure music distribution format, EPAC. I have been told that Lucent's director of this operation has stated that EPAC will support Real Networks format. This seems to contradict the known reality of the Madison Project but I guess no one has yet to come out and say their players will only support ONE format, so it's possible.
