NeXT fetched $400m and some people think Apple has paid over the odds...< I don't disagree with the history. But there is more than one way to skin a cat, and also success can't just be measured in creating MSFT - it is a unique phenomenon. Jobs did AAPL, NEXT, and Pixar. 2 for 3 ain't bad, and NeXT is not out of the count yet. Personally, I feel what Gates and MSFT did in the industry violates good business ethic and anti-trust law. But my opinion doesn't count.
