<I wonder if McData, who was big in ESCON i believe, could have put something like the Channel Director together using the Silkworm FC technology ? >

Neil, you must be reading my mind. I thought of that on the way home last night (let me tell you, its a long commute from Van Nuys to San Pedro!). However, EMC divested itself of the FC portion of McData and kept the ESCON portion. The McData FC switch was basically two Silkworms tied together with a laptop. At fall Interop, the marketing director for McData told me that they were going to be doing a FC switch on their own. So I would question how much ESCON experience they retained in the divesture. But it certainly is a possibility.

<vbg> Buddy, my wife is making me work overtime to make back the gains we lost in ANCR. I am still way ahead of where I started from after moving my money from mutual funds, just not way, way ahead like I was. I tell you what, though, I love buying a stock and then finding that people like you and Craig have put your money on the table. Sure brings my confidence bubble up!
