40 years of on and off GOP presidents have got us in the mess we are in." The Dems had a lot to do with it. LBJ's excesses and Carter's wimpishness got Reagan elected. Clinton's sexual escapades kept Gore from being elected. Kerry's ineptitude had him snatch defeat from what should have been a walk to victory. We don't know that for a fact; you are speculating........for an example, Gore may have lost because of the Rove blitzkrieg used against him and the right's attack on Clinton because of Monica and not what Clinton did.....and Carter is weak only because he won't start a war at the drop of a hat. Since that doesn't sit well with the rightie ideology, they have made sure we see negotiations as a sign of weakness. Remember you are a product of this culture. We have all been influenced/mislead by the right's ideology.
