Free shares is the lingo we use here when a stock you have owned doubles, triples or more and you sell half your shares or less taking out your original investment dollars. You then move the profit and buy another stock. Your remaining shares are "free"(no risk because your capital is removed).

In this hot penny market you are reading about posters getting doubles or more on a daily basis. Some posters sell all their position and some sell a part. I usually always sell a part of my position( and sell more shares if the stock continues to go up) that's why I own so many stocks. Everyone has their own system that they are comfortable with. Most of us do agree that the basics do include investing only what you can afford to lose, diversifying, buying closer to the low and taking profits at some point.
