I notice they don't address the issue of PCI physical specifications compliance. And, yeah, if DIMD is doing it too, they are probably out of compliance with the PCI component height specs. Like I said, its been a while since I've had the PCI spec handy, but if I recall, there's just barely allowance for a low profile component such as a surface mount resistor, or -maybe- a thin chip such as a intel flash ram. When I measured the 'Weitek Video Power 9100' chip on the back of the old Viper Pro PCI, it was about twice as thick as the spec allowed.
