off - topic: competition on this camping trip between Extreme coolers,

each filled to 2/3rd capacity with
frozen ice water in 32-ounce re-used carrot juice plastic containers from Kroger:

** both coolers were subject to 85 degrees for at least 4 hours daily, and 55 to 65
degree temps overnight ...

never placed in direct sunlight, and kept covered on all 4 sides with reflective tarps
and 4 inches of blanket material in addition covering all 4 sides of each cooler

1. Coleman Extreme 5 70-quart cooler -- all frozen food such as homemade soups
remained frozen and 70% of the ice remained in frozen state
after the use period including:

mid-day Monday last week through mid-morning Thursday this week

2. Ozark-Trail bear-proof heavily insulated wall and lid thickness 52-quart cooler
-- was ONLY about 40% as good condition for the contents as the Coleman
