I think the Merced (and the improvements to go along with it like Rambus memory) will be the most revolutionary thing to hit the computer market since the original PC. I say this because it appears to attack almost all of the problems that are preventing real world speed from matching microprocessor clock speed. I hope Intel is able to release the Merced on schedule (or sooner) I want one for sure.
Fater intenet speed depends more on your local cable company than it does on Intel. It's here now if you are lucky enough to live in the right area.
