Marvin - RMBS is a very complicated mess.
Investor lawsuits
Lawsuits agaisnt MU
Still no decision on wheter or not DDRAM vioaates patents.

Italian court says yes but what will US court say.
Unfortunately Italian court will not put a block on MU parts. If they did with MU factory there, stock would react Very Positively.

How does one accurately figure earnings in the face of all this. I believe RMBS got screwed in the US courts. Others disagree violently. I think RMBS got screwed by an industry that just does not want to pay it royalties.

I also believe RDRAM is better for many many things like data streaming and "ultimately" this will be important but when is ultimately?

Also DRAM prices keep falling and falling and falling. This is not good for profits. Bottom is probably on on DRAM prices but how quick the rebound?

RMBS has a couple things going for it.
1) I believe all the lawsuits are priced in
2) If RMBS wins some of these, wins are not priced in
3) If PC orders improve and DRAM prices stabilize (Or if there is even a lietaht suggest this), RMBS should do well.

Its PE is absurd right now, with low DRAM prices and lots of $ in legal problems, one can easily argue the other side.

I hope it falls to 4 but I doubt it sincerely. Best guess is 5 was it. I would not buy common but strike 5 2004 leaps on dips below 6. Will save you some money if it does go to Zero.
