Time will tell but based on CNN's reporting (pro NATO), NATO is NOT achieving their objectives. All current factors right now are working against NATO:

1. The Clock.
The longer NATO is there the more unrest will grow in Russia and neighboring countries. 19 days without significant results, and a refugee situation are also contributing pressure for a quick resolution.

2. Ground Troops ; no way.
Clinton is against ground troops for a good reason. In the best case there would be 1-2% of the force returned in body bags; for the proposed force of 100,000 that 1-2000 dead. Also this would force Russia's unsteady hand into action; possibly using nuke's since they are the cheapest and most effective weapons for a nation teetering on financial collapse.
