I'm reading a bunch of things both published and unpublished, the latter including draft manuscripts of books that will appear later in the year or perhaps early next year. Foremost among those is the book by Ken Pollack on how deal with Saddam--an expansion of his FA article that was posted here. It's outstanding, and should set the terms for all serious debate on the subject when it comes out. Something I'd like to make time for but haven't had a chance to yet is this, the Arab Human Development Report just put out by UNDP: undp.org oh, and I'm hoping for another Spenser novel soon, and perhaps a new Larry Niven one too... tb@weenie.com
