Is anyone still interested in this company? from today's Wall Street Journal Interactive Dow Jones Newswires -- August 12, 1998 Chiroscience Taps Hugh Collum Chairman Dow Jones Newswires LONDON -- Chiroscience Group PLC (U.CCC) Wednesday named SmithKline Beecham PLC's (SB) Chief Financial Officer Hugh Collum as its new chairman. Collum will take up the role on Oct. 1, replacing Henry Chilver, who is retiring. Collum is also currently executive vice president at SmithKline. Chiroscience also named Robert Jackson as executive director of research and development. Jackson, already a director responsible for the company's U.K. research and development, will now also take charge of Chiroscience's research work in Seattle, directing all work from "gene to drug." Jackson will host a research and development update on Sept. 29 in London and Oct. 9 in New York, describing the group's progress in gene and drug discovery and providing an update on the development pipeline.
