MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 23, 1997--COGNICASE (TSE COG., NASDAQ COGIF.) Mr. Ronald Brisebois, Chief Executive Officer of COGNICASE INC. has announced the nomination of Mr. J.V. Raymond Cyr O.C. as a Member of the Board of the Company.
Mr. Cyr is Chairman of the Board of Telesat Canada, TMI Communications Inc. and of SSIG Group Inc.
He is the former Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Bell Canada and BCE Inc.
Mr. Cyr is a Member of the Board of Directors at Bell Canada, BCE Mobile Inc., BCE Capital Inc., Teleglobe Inc., Spar Aerospace Ltd., Air Canada, Dominion Textile Inc., Canadian National (CN), SR Teleco and G.T.C. Transcontinental Ltd. In addition, Mr. Cyr is a Member of the Board of the Old Port of Montreal Corporation, of the Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal and the Quebec Corporation of Professional Engineers.
Mr. Cyr is also a Board Member of various charitable organizations.
COGNICASE INC., which has successfully achieved its initial public offering with shares totaling US$44 millions, is experiencing a remarkable international growth. The success of the Company is mainly related to the solution it brings to the year 2000 conversion.
