I called Iaus again today. I explained that we had been having trouble finding any verification of their patents. The man I spoke to, Greg, said that last week they received a fax from the patent office validating their core patent which included 250 patent claims. He said that the patents were in the name of the company. Apparently the patents are not for the modem but rather to protect the core technology that the modem is based on, DWM.

In addition I called the patent office again and explained that these people were saying that they have patents and ask if they would verify this information. The Gal ask when they are saying they recieved the fax. When I said last week, she said sorry but that the paperwork wouldn't have caught up yet and there would be some time before she could verify their statement. When I ask how long we would have to wait she said that she couldn't say for sure. Just as I thought about cursing she suggested that I keep checking back. She did add, however, that if they received a fax from the patent office, that they should have a patent number or numbers. Maybe someone else could call and ask for it. Iaus is probably getting a little tired of hearing from me. I don't want to wear out my welcome just in case this company makes me rich.
