And the news gets even better.. M-Vac's CEO and I were at Cal State/LA forensics school, which is co-located with LAPD and LA country crime labs.. He briefed a number of Crime Lab analysts, as well as a class of grad students studying forensics, on M-Vac's capabilities.

The head of the forensics school has had possession of an M-Vac for a few years, testing it out.. and one of his students did her master's thesis on sample comparisons on various materials..

He just got a copy of the report.. Here's a quote from it..

"An excerpt from a Cal State LA master's thesis comparing the M-Vac to swabbing and cutting "The M-Vac gave greater average yields compared to traditional sampling methods on all the neat blood stained substrates especially it gave statistically significant results compared to the swab technique on denim and tile substrate collections. Overall, M-Vac is a promising novel sampling method that can be used for the collection of biological stains."
