Telecommunications, Inc. (NASDAQ:STRX) today announced record
revenues and earnings for its third quarter ended September 30, 1997.
Revenues in the third quarter totaled $88,515,000, a 45% increase
over revenues of $61,169,000 in the prior year quarter bringing STAR
to its ninth consecutive quarter of strong revenue growth. Net
income in the quarter rose 413% to $1,467,000, or $0.09 per share,
versus $286,000, or $0.02 per share, in the third quarter of 1996............
The balance sheet provides a solid foundation to pursue our strategy of
global expansion."
