Scrapps, I agree with everything in your post. The teamsters want to keep UPS employee pension money in a union, multi-company fund. Why this is so important to the union I'm not sure. But I think UPS should be able to keep their own employee's pensions in a separate account.

Did you know that UPS drivers make an average of 50K a year? That's roughly $25/hr for a guaranteed 40/hr week, year in and year out. That's probably not even including bennies (pd vacation, health insur, pension money, etc.)

IMO UPS should fire the lot of them (except the 5,000 teamsters who have crossed picket lines and are working), and put out a nationwide call for new recruits. They could hire them for $15-20/hr starting out.

If I wasn't already occupied with what I'm doing already, I'd put in an app myself. IMO I can read/find addresses better than some those guys driving trucks.
