It's not even a good fake. The real tell is the nose, which I find interesting has not been pointed out in the few side by sides I've run across. A rounder face could be discounted by the addition of groceries, but obesity will NOT cause one's nose to become shorter. OBL could quite possibly hold the world record for the longest schnoz on a human face. The beak on the imposture is at a minimum a half to three quarters of an inch shorter. Noses are almost as unique as finger prints, at least when you get into the extreme ranges of shape. Add in the fact the tape is unaccountably fuzzy, the translations have been openly criticized by experts, and the sound quality is said to be nearly as fuzzy as the images.
The news articles being released at the time clearly cast doubt on the tapes' authenticity, and it was clear it was a propaganda prop from day one.
GWB had repeatedly accused OBL prior to the prop of being behind 9/11, so the average person was looking more for support for the claim rather than negative proof. The average person would not tend to question the "aledged" nature of the tape, as the media has programmed the average person to accept "aledged" as "conclusive". The average person does not speak Arabic, so any translation would be accepted as genuine. And sad to say, the only people who look unique to the average white person are other white people. You could hire Wesley Snipes to do a tape of Martin Luther King Jr. and get away with it.
You won't find mainstream media debunking the obvious forgery, because these days, that's not what they consider to be their purpose. They're in business to sell commercials and political pressure. Presenting objective facts is not part of the program if it interferes with their primary goals. |
