Forward yield 2.25% Payable Dec. 15; for shareholders of record Dec. 1; ex-div Nov. 30. Additionally, the Company announces the resumption of its share repurchase program. MCD currently has a dividend rating of 77 "Safe". The yield is 2.25% + 5 year dividend growth rate of 8% = Chowder Number of 10.25 which equates to a "Fast" rating for dividend growth. VALUATION: MCD's current dividend yield of 2.25% is 9% below its 5-year average of 2.47%. While the stock may not be a very timely income opportunity due to its relatively low yield, MCD's valuation could be reasonable. Specifically, MCD's forward P/E ratio of 25.9 is close to its 5-year average of 23.9. The market appears to be valuing the stock similarly to how it has in the past, suggesting that MCD could be fairly priced if you believe its long-term prospects remain solid. In looking at those long-term prospects, the 3-5 years earnings growth is being projected at 20%.
