LABRADOR NICKEL PROJECT - SOUTH VOISEY BAY

Teck-Donner have mobilized a third drill rig onto the South Voisey Bay
Project and drilling has recommenced on Major General's Sarah Lake nickel
property which is located 90 kilometres south of Voisey's Bay. The drill
program, consisting of three to six core holes, is testing strong gravity
anomalies that have been recently outlined in the southern portion of the
claim.

Two senior company geologists have recently visited the project site as
well as the Voisey's Bay deposit and have made the following observations:

It is now clearly established that extensive, multiple phase gabbros cover
significant portions of the South Voisey Bay Project area. Geological
mapping has defined a coarse grained upper phase containing minor olivine
which overlies a lower olivine rich phase (troctolite). The nickel copper
sulphide mineralization encountered thus far occurs proximal to the basal
portion of the troctolite. This geological setting is identical to that at
Voisey's Bay, where the continuing drill program has outlined over 80
million tons of nickel-copper ore.

Teck has recently completed 425 line kilometres of gravity surveys with the
objective of defining thicker sequences of gabbro along with potential
areas of massive sulphide mineralization. A number of gravity anomalies
are presently being drill tested and have intersected significant
nickel-copper mineralization.

The gravity survey, which was only completed over the southern one-third of
Major General's 142 claim property, has defined several areas of potential
(see attached map). Previous drilling on the property, which was targeted
on other concepts, encountered several thin troctolite sections carrying
weakly disseminated or very narrow massive sulphides, however none of the
gravity anomalies were tested.

In Donner's news release dated September 30th, 1997, it was announced that
drill hole SVB 97-67, which is located on the Donner-Northern Abitibi joint
venture, intersected a 22.5 metre section "of disseminated mineralization
exhibiting textures which closely resemble the massive copper-nickel-cobalt
mineralization identified at Voiseys Bay". Within this section three
massive sulphide lenses returned 1.35-1.93% Ni, 0.84-1.64% Cu and
0.17-0.26% Co over thicknesses of 10-60 centimetres. Additionally, in the
news release dated October 15th, 1997, Donner announced that drill hole SVB
97-75 intersected a 1.1 metre high grade zone of 11.75% Ni, 9.70% Cu and
0.43% Co. Of particular interest to the Company is the fact that these
drill holes, which are located within 1 kilometre of the claim boundary,
were collared at the edge of a gravity anomaly that increases significantly
in intensity (density 3.00g/cc) to the north and onto Major General's
ground to the east. Early drilling at Voisey's Bay large Eastern Deeps
deposit encountered similar mineralized widths at the periphery before
encountering ore zones in the thicker portions of the troctolite.

The Sarah Lake Property, is 100% owned by Major General and is currently
under option to Donner Resources Ltd. who may earn a 60% interest. The
property is an integral part of the large 1,000 square kilometer South
Voisey Bay Project which is operated by Donner in joint venture with Teck
Corporation.

Drilling is expected to continue well into November, and the Company will
report additional interim results as they become available.
