Will they (MSFT) come on for free? I think not. They're getting hyper-commoditized. You developed a MSFT product, now you'll have to pay the commoditization price. Software is becoming simply an avenue to services (including web servers, support, etc.) MSFT has been layered upon and will never be the same. SUNW's free software development tools for Java are simply unbelievable for the price (nothiing, notta) and this will continue to accelerate.
