You might try uninstalling the driver and installing it again. Maybe something got corrupted. From Lexmark:

Windows 2000:

Go to Start, Programs, Lexmark, Uninstall Lexmark.
Reboot the PC.
Go to Start, Settings, Printers.
Go to File, Server Properties, Drivers.
If there are any Lexmark printer drivers, select them and click Remove.
Open Windows Explorer.
Go to C:\WINNT\System32\Spool\Drivers\w32x86 and delete the contents of this folder.
Windows XP:

Go to Start, All Programs, Lexmark, Uninstall Lexmark.
Reboot the PC.
Go to Start, Control Panels, Printers and Faxes.
Go to File, Server Properties, Drivers.
If there are any Lexmark printer drivers, select them and click Remove.
Open Windows Explorer.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Drivers\w32x86 and delete the contents of this folder.
Note: For the Lexmark X73, go to C:\Program Files and delete the Lexmark and Lexmark X73 folders. Empty the Recycle Bin. Reboot the PC.
