you're welcome.

thinking ahead to the event that there is an unwanted process (trojan) running... because the other poster is correct, there are nasties out there that disable security progs... when you ID the critter in task manager, you will have to right-click and end process to get it to shut down, then find where it is starting (in the registry and start up folder), disable that setting, then start and run virus and trojan scans to eliminate it.

point being, if there is a resident nasty that is compromising the pc's AV, then all the scans in the world won't do a bit of good, until and unless the culprit is kept from starting.

i don't have a ton of hands-on with removal. but there are a multitude of resources for us to work with on the net... definitely a computer-heal-thyself environment.

please let us know how it turns out
