Powell's "evidence" is BS so far

Zonder, it's apparent nothing will ever convince you..

I thought the NSA intercepts were quite compelling. Especially the Republican Guard officers who were discussing the nerve gas on a wireless phone.

I also found the satellite photos detailing the decontamination truck being moved from that Chemical weapons "igloo" when the weapons had been moved. That's SOP for when folks are handling them, since they may have an accident.

But the most compelling argument is what we already know. That Iraq has violated 16 different UN resolutions during the past 12 months... Resolution 1441 was supposed to be the "last chance" for Saddam to "come clean".. But I guess that the UNSC is good for a couple of more "last chances"...

I mean.. look.. even France is saying that we should triple the size of the inspection force. That's TACIT ADMISSION that Iraq has NOT complied. It's BLATANT ADMISSION that Saddam is in material breach. And it's a blatant change of mission, where inspectors now have to become investigators.
All for the purpose of avoiding war at any cost (and preserving their oil interests)..

So France will never be convinced. And should they use their UN veto, that will effectively be the end of the UN because the US is not going to wait any longer. After all, it's our soldiers that are providing the "stick" that will pummel Saddam when he refuses the UN "carrot". And Bush will be damned if he permits them to sit over there in the desert for months waiting for the moment when France will finally run out of excuses to preserve Saddam's regime.
