Terrance,

As with nearly every thread on SI, there is thread header, explaining the purpose of the thread. This thread is described as being a place for believers to request prayer.
It is not a place for debate. If John Galt or anyone else wants to debate the issues they struggle with regarding Christianity, they have other options. They can visit the "Ask God" thread. I realize it was intended a joke, and really had nothing to do with believers. Currently it does debate the issues between believers and non-believers. Then there is the "Should God be replaced" thread. I believe that John frequent's that thread, and maybe, just maybe that is the right place for him to be.

Comparing him being banned to keeping company with the likes of Ghengis Kahn and Adolf Hitler, is absurd.
There are places on SI for "reasoned debates" this just does not happen to be one of them. If the other two mentioned threads are not suitable for John wanting to carry on a "reasoned debate" he could always start his own thread for such purposes, and specifically state it in the thread header.

My personal comparison as to his being allowed to continue to post on this thread could more accurately be compared to the Jews inviting Adolf Hitler to their dinner tables.
