Since an NT Server can be a PC with a Pentium processer, the number of NT servers could be skewed in NT's favor. The average Unix server is much higher in computing power. One Unix server most likely has 10-20 times or higher comuting power than your average NT server.

Also the increase in NT servers is not bad news for Oracle. Oracle has the higher RDBMS market share on NT than MS. Something like 22% and the percentage is higher when you look at only fortune 1000 companies.

Companies like Oracle and Sybase are already supporting the NT operating system. Therefore NT shouldn't be something they fear. If you look at the TPC/C benchmarks Oracle and Sybase compare favorably to MS, maybe better.
