BTW, hope you were kidding about the INS. IMHO, that agency has been essentially a useless derelict for years.

In fact, could say that about most other US government departments and agencies.

They are simply giant sink holes for money staffed with unelected, unaccountable, liberal/left minions that cannot be fired or disciplined no matter how bad their job performance.

In recent years, our elected politicians (many of whom are simply corrupt clowns) increasing amounts of time in damage control mode trying to offer PR and spin cover for the continuous parade of fiascos and boondoggles generated by these incompetent agencies. Many congressional hearings are nothing more than the government investigating itself !! Talk about a giant clown dog chasing it's own tail?!<g>

We need to change the current Civil Service Act and eliminate TENURE. Then we can begin to not only fire the tens of thousands drones that serve no useful purpose but eliminate some of these gigantic moribund agencies completely!. We need to drastically shrink the size of the Federal Gov and return governing responsibilities back to local and state authorities where they belong.

JMVVHO. But I've heard from some of my friends north of the border that you have many of the same problems with your central government.
