I don't hate Microsoft, although a few more posts like this and I don't know if I can say the same for you. I think you and Reg are blinded by your infatuation for Microsoft. I don't think Microsoft should be allowed to take over the internet, ok? I don't think running the windows-api should be required to connect to the Internet, ok? ActiveX and extended-java-mvm-whatever aren't just proprietary, they are interfaces to Windows systems. They don't, and never will, exist indepent of Windows.

People may be overhyping Java, but it's not intended to be a replacement for the general purpose computer. Nobody envisions NC's operating independent of the network. Java gives extensibility to the user interface running on NC's, or in browsers, or whatever. It does not replace the general purpose computer. Nobody is talking about taking the N out of NC, are they?

Please point out something in some post of mine where I say I hate microsoft. Or just ignore me in the future, I'll do my best to reciprocate.
