I don't agree that it'll run into January. I think this December will be a month of increasing uncertainty, coming into y2k. I expect the bond to tick up, oil to rise more, worries to mount, and the market to go down.

I expect a waterfall decline in December, in all the indexes. I'd guess it would begin with the simple prudence of people (institutions?) taking "money off the table" or massive profit-taking (about due, don't you think?) and escalating into a rush for the exits.

Anyone with any sense at all knows that this will "end badly." I hope that those with great gains so far have the sense to "take the money."
