Also, why is the SparQ available only in parallel and EIDE formats? These interfaces are not particularly known for their speeds. If I had a 1GB disk, I'd be using it to transfer large files (images, sound, movies). I'd have thought it would have made more sense to include a faster interface such as SCSI2 (or better). I suppose cost must have played a part in that decision. Any video experts here want to comment on whether the SparQ will be interesting for them as a storage and/or playback medium? At $33/GB, it is very tempting.
