I don't think Obama's speech went too well. I wasn't watching closely, but it seemed as though he had several hecklers, and the remaining crowd felt compelled to respond to them with half hearted cheers. The people in the crowd who were seen seated behind Obama did not appear very charged up. In fact, they looked to me like plants who had been bused in as props for the speech.
